Fuck me vicar, is he on drugs or something?

Oh, I love the way he's covered some of the number plates up so no-one makes a clone of it, theyr're must be hundreds of left hand drive Spanish import BXs floating round the UK at the moment :D

Shame the aircon doesnt work along with the other issues, otherwise that would have been worth the money. I guess a lot of it can be sorted if you know what you're doing, but not for that sort of money, probably thinks being a lhd that its worth more....

Can't see why, it's going to cost to Register & plate it and that's assuming there are no re-certification issues. If it's main use is going to be for UK roads I'd sooner be able to see properly here to overtake! 8-[

LHD cars are worth more, or at least were when the Pound was weak against the Euro... generally they were getting shipped back out to Europe.

This is more the case with classics, (Delta Integrale etc...) but it applies to all cars. Not sure it is the case now though. How do you think certain classic car dealers were doing so well?

way2go, i thought most people that were buying a lhd were probably taking it abroad rather than registering it over here? If its not that, then theres quite a few strange folk out there wanting to get the left hand driving experience whilst driving on the left

£395 for something without tax or MOT, and that may incur other costs in registering in this country still seems high to me. If the aircon needs serious parts you could easily spend £395 getting that working, never mind the car...

Think he meant if you left it on the Spanish plates. Not sure how easy it would be to MOT or insure it like that, but I guess there are some people for whom that's not a high priority...

It did occur to me afterwards that it can probably be driven on the spanish plates, but don't know if you need a valid and current Spanish MOT equivalent for it to be road-legal here.

I always wondered how you'd get on if pulled in a left hooker/foreign registered car as regards the country of origins MOT equivelant.

In Britain the MOTs are now computerised but what about French, Swedish, German and Polish (amongst others) for example? I can't help but thinking it's licnence (no pun intended) for people to get insured on foreign registered cars, have false tax/MOT details from the country of origin then drive about however they like.
