How happy was I when a great friend of Philippe's (in fact, the guy who first got Philippe to fix his BX years ago, and started him on the road to Medway Citroen) called me a couple of days ago to offer me his TZD?

I don't know how many people here know, but poor little Magoo had to be lent out to a lady customer who didn't realise that you sort of... have to... take your foot OFF the clutch when driving... after 3 days with her he came back needing a clutch and headgasket!

Anyway, I jumped at the offer and went that very afternoon to pick up my new baby, whom I have named Hugo. He has a slight oil leak and needs a N/S/F wheel bearing. Reg adjusted the clutch yesterday, we put in my CD/MP3/Thingummy player and I blu-tacked my lucky owl to the dash, so apart from the two mechanical things I still need to sort, now I just need to put on my sunroof deflector!

We recently sold an identical TZD to Chris Dawson and I can't wait for when he comes down to Medway Citroen for something and I can show him PTM's twin brother

Are you on here Chris?

I have become crazed. Last night, in my pyjamas, I actually wanted to go out to Hugo and just be with him. Give him a little cuddle, a little pat on the bonnet. I didn't, as I would have looked like a total crazy lady.

Today I bring down the Speedlines from the garret for refurbing, and then my student maintenance grant will cover the tyres. He needs that oil leak sorted, too, which is in the pipeline, and this bearing. But otherwise he is perfect. I love him. He will be spun up this week, too, so he's ultra shiny and beautiful.

I also love the chav reactions. They don't know whether it's a really crappy car or a really cool one, so they furrow their brow in a vain attempt to understand. The word "TURBO" emblazonbed all over Hugo is also something of a red rag to them, which is great fun!

Nice-looking car - I love your re-attribution of the 106 to MF, which I could certainly understand if the tracking is out...

While the 106 is classic case of four-economy-wheels on a stick, I do feel it might be a little cheaper to run than MF's normal model range, even allowing for red diesel.
