Zal ik dan ook maar?
Hello, I'm Anne-Jan. I come from Holland. I'm 19years young and drive a BX GTi the Swedish version with some seatwarming.
I use the username Autofan, because I used is over the hole Citroën-forms (how do you say that?)
My English is very bad. I'm sorry!

Father Ted
Do I will then also but? (which is the literal translation of the thread title)
I can read a bit of Dutch, and know how to say "please", "thank you" and "how much?" but thats only from the time I spent working my passage over in Ijumedan
Anyway - I think this sounds right, but gramatically may be a bit duff...
Verwelkom naar BX club. Wij zouden houden van te foto's van uw voertuigen zien alstublieft.

Or is it Shall I then also but?
anyhow.... hahahaha
very good!
How long have you been working in IJmuiden?
The Dutch sentence is much more then I'd expect from anyone who has lived in Holland for a breef periode!
Understanding is one thing but writing it down is a lot harder.
No spelling mistakes too in the sentence!

Welcome Anne-Jan, how nice to show up here. Interesting topic title, as you can see it spreads some confusion. The sentence is a grammatical oddity and it's even difficult to translate. Probably the best translation is "Shall I go ahead, then?"
Amsterdam Radar: "UK747 stop climb flight level 210 for noise abatement"
UK Pilot: "Confirm stop climb FL210 for *noise*?"
AMS Radar: " Yesh Shir there is an aircraft above and you'll make a big noish when you hit"

For me, a few weeks of evenings spent in Dutch bars aided "informal" understanding a long time ago. Or perhaps I should say, it seemed to help at the time. I could at least order
When I tried some formal language learning after returning to the UK, I found it much more difficult. I quickly decided that I would need more time in the bars just to get familiar with all your many vowel sounds. Sadly, I haven't returned since then ....
If anyone's still reading this, I'd like to say "Dank u wel!" to your country for that pleasant trip, mostly spent near the IJsselmeer.
Back on two wheels and pedal power for the moment.

H vans are not as comfortable as other Citroens over speed humps...
everytime after a long drive in my H or HY as we call them, it's unbelievable how comfortable my BX is. But those H's are soo much fun to drive and camp in!

What is with the dutch invasion, its not just this forum either, in two weeks i'm being dragged to rotterdam by the missus, and its looking like i might be on a training course for a week in amsterdam before the end of the year. There are already plans in the making for Citromobile Utrecht next year too.
