I've finally succumbed and joined the forum. I've been a lurker for a while but never quite managed to join in!
So, along with my beloved 2CVs, I also discovered 6 years ago just how much I love BXs.
The reason for my love of BXs is "Pip", my 1992 BX TZD. I bought her in September 2003 (having had a few BXs previously including a GTi which was also a great tool) after a somewhat disasterous foray into LWB Land Rovers! I bought her off one of the salesmen at work who had taken her in part ex from the original driver (company car and then bought her) Jason had only bought her for taking the dog to the park in but due to the condition she was in, he didn't feel like he could use her for dog duty!
Since buying her, we've covered in excess of 100,000 miles and I still use her for my daily commute from Birmingham to Leamington Spa and back which is a round trip of 60 miles.
We also used her last year for Scally Rally ( www.scallyrally.co.uk )St Omer to Rimini (via Stelvio Pass) as a crew car-3200 miles in 10 days without missing a beat, I think she used about a pint of oil throughout.
Okay, a few pictures then

Blimey, 18 months since I last posted anything about my beloved BX!
Well, I've still got her although she's a bit worn out now-needs rear arm bearings (again), heater matrix, height correctors, welding, injectors and a head gasket. But, I will do the work, I can't bear the thought of getting rid of her, let alone the thought of her going to the scrapyard!
Not much has happened since I last posted, I had to replace the front strut return pipes for the MOT in 2009 and weld the rear floor back together last year after the MOT when I caught it on the ramp after the MOT!
Of course, she's been seamlessly reliable despite clocking up another 25k or so miles-they really are brilliant cars!
She's currently serving as everyday transport for my dad as his Peugeot failed its MOT catastrophically so I'm smoking around in my Discovery or Ami 8.
Just before Dad borrowed her.....
And a cheeky photo of other everyday runaround
