Hey everybody..Im from Malaysia and I just bought my BX a few days a go.My dad had one in the 90s and that went to the yard.So now its my turn to experience this wonderful car.

Would like to get to know everyone here and at the same time learn more about keeping this great car on the road.

Welcome, how rare is the BX in Malaysia? What model have you got & more importantly WE NEED PICTURES

Its a 92' 1.9GTI..In the early 90s the BX was super popular.Less popular than japanese cars but it was a luxury.Today there are a handful on the road.Our hot humid weather contributes a huge factor.LHM hoses don't last very long.Strut mounts break off before its supposed to and i think there is not one BX without a crack at the top part of the dashboard.

I know there is one Diesel and there is a 16v which is owned by a senior mechanic but besides that,the 1.9GTI is the common model.The BX today is super rare.Every few years you see one passing through town,although there a large number of abandoned BXs.Same goes for XMs and CXs.

The first owner who owned this car had it for only six months.The second owner had the car since 93 and just sold it to me last week.Im taking the car this weekend so will update everyone.

Is that a dark blue in metallic? Either way, i dont think i've ever seen a gti in that shade of blue, metallic or otherwise.

Had a chat with my mechanic and he told me this dark blue is one of the factory Citroen colour.According to the previous owner,the car has not been repainted.Its the original paint..Slightly faded too.

One of the front suspension sphere is out and CX spheres are fitted for rear suspension.Will definitely get more pics out by Monday.Still have no clue how to upload so will put on flickr.lol

ok..got some pics..Drove the car over 200kms to get home.Drove beautifully without any problem except i got stuck on 3rd gear for a while.Stopped the car and fixed a loose cable(Im not sure what its called).

Have been using the car for 4 days now and the only problem is an air cond wire is causing a fuse to blow.Should be a simple thing to solve.Everything else in the car works great.Just needs a paint.So Im really happy and its so exciting to drive this car around.its really amazing

Nice looking car, I dont recall seeing that colour BX over here.

The dashboards crack on the top even here in cool wet England.

BXs are rare here now too, I have not seen one for many weeks.

Good to see you all driving on the correct side of the road.

Nice Car
No side repeaters thats unusual.
Having worked in Brunei in the 90's i know what the weather and humidity is like and as Mike say's even in cold and wet england the dash tops crack.
Keep us posted on your adventures with your new steed.

interesting car, there is no airflowmeter on the airfilter box, you are lucky, one less problem
