I'd be a bit worried by the mention of rusted arches.... Looks very nice though. The loadspace looks very tidy. Nice colour too.

Sorry, I mean: This car is similar in colour, spec etc. to the 'Green hornet' - the TZD Estate that Phil 'Kermit' and I drove on the BXagon Challenge, that's all! :)

Green TZD wagon

Post by pindimar »

That's less than a thousand dollars Aust. and you don't get much at all for that sort of money in this neck of the woods. Years ago I remember watching a South African 747 being unloaded at Sydney airport and around three MG were unloaded - a TC & a TD or 2 TDs. I guess some government or company was paying that freight bill. But it'd be nice to think that a BX diesel could be shipped over here. I mean, it would only add a few thousand to the price!!!

You are so lucky there in the UK to have these cars at these silly prices.

UK Pounds to Aust dollars

Post by pindimar »

Ages ago I know but I only just checked back! - well Cavmad, I just did the same conversion on the net that I did when I posted that message and it came out at less than $1000 Aust??

509 British pounds = 915.746548 Australian dollars

So, maybe the Aust Dollar is doing better than when you last checked?? I know it's up and down, that's for sure, depending on how the US Dollar is perceived at any point of the day or night!

Is that not right?
