Spare wheel cradle

Post by mnde »

Is this standard for all BX's? I.e. will a 185/14" wheel and tyre fit properly in my Meteor's cradle which currently carries a standard 165/14" wheel?

Cheers,

Mark.

16v one isn't any deeper.....it uses a std steelie with some flat washers for the alloy bolts

My 16 valve has a 165x14 tyre rather than the wider ones on the alloys. Making a virtue out of economy I suppose.

I have a special 165 spare with inserts welded in to allow use of the alloy wheel bolts, (thanks Vanny) I have tried to get a spare alloy in there but its too tight, then again my towbar is in that area too not helping.
