Fair enough, but £260 was a cheap price. Nothing wrong with a dealer wanting to make a profit: but £895 is too expensive by quite a margin! I would have thought if the dealer makes a couple of hundred net then they should be satisfied with that.

AffordableclassicsofPreston paid £440 for it at the end of November, he bought it from the guy in Keighley, it had 63500 on the clock at that time.
The guy in Keighley paid £260 for it with 75000 miles.

OK, Ken. Understood, but it doesn't change the fact that in many BXer's opinion,it seems too high a price. Bought for £260 - earned the intermediary £180 who sold it on for £440, and then hoping to sell for £895 (that's a further step up of £455)...

If it was a low mile GTi/TZD or 16v in that condition, maybe a price of £700-900 is realistic??? But a 14? To say the least, it is debatable.

Like I said, I have no problem with a dealer making a profit, so best of luck!

BUT, as a matter of interest, this reminds me of the 23k mile 16TGS auto I bought in 2007 for £470, sold for £750 later that year and it was then sold again for about a grand or more before it was then bought again by a club member (but I don't know how much for)...

Well, look at Tourist's first BX! There's always a chance I guess, but I agree it's unlikely. I think with a car like the BX (i.e. an emerging(?) classic), if you're a dealer that has the space, there's less need to get shot of it soon as the prices may well rise.

Your'e right Mat, a car is only worth what someone is prepared to pay, i sold my Gti for more money than this bx, but at least it was a semi-desirable model tbh....Prices have generally started to rise, it just seems dependent upon who's after what & when, some clapped out motors go for semi-decent money, & then something really decent goes cheap, no idea tbh.....
