Hi technical folks,
Im very definitly considering a BX14 with the 150 slant back engine.
It doesnt need these things now but for future reference should i actually get it.
Do you have to remove the whole engine/box lump to change the clutch on these? I remember you did on the visa equipped with these engine, but maybe there is more room in the BX?
With the 14's the hydraulics only run suspension and braking right? so no FDV's or Rams to worry about, does this mean they also dont have an octopus and are basically more simple in terms of hydraulics? (in fact more akin to a GSA which im familiar with)
Thanks all, and hi Stephen if you are reading this

The car will have an Octopus as the suspension and braking system are as all other BX's, it will also have an FDV but with less outlets as the 14's dont have PAS and don't really need it.
As for the clutch, I have never done one on one of these early 14s but a mate of mine did, and I'd like to point out that he had no mechanical experiance at all other than changing oil & filters, and he did his clutch in an afternoon. So no, you don't need to remove the engine and I suspect it's a lot simpler than the later 14s where the gearbox has to come out.

excellent, apart from the pump design exactly the same setup as a GSA then with accumulator sitting on the regulator.
