Wonderful stuff - his mate's 27 stone - 830 kg or 378 lb - love the conversions!

I think I've bought cars of him before - suffering from 'Reactive Maintenance.'

yes thats true jeremy, I think i have bough cars from him also.

One thing that struck me was how his mate Al, who was a mechanic kept fixing stuff only for them to fall off 2 days later :-)

I tell you what I bet it doesn`t even come close to the receipts for money spent on the BX 4x4 I collected for Ian today. Hats off to the vendor he`s spent thousands on it and all credit to him because it`s lovely, truly lovely. He had the wheels refurbished twice, spent a fortune on the engine (which is circa 145BHP-not bad for an eight valve), had some bits resprayed, colour coded twin electric mirrors, non genuine bodykit, plus new brakes, suspension, clutch, interior and exterior bits the list is endless.
On top of all that he`s a cracking bloke and even phoned me from the pub tonight to see how I was getting on with collecting all the cars. At the time I was testing the mythical magical power of the TZD somewhere on the M6. I can also confirm that I definately was NOT exceeding the magic ton in places. Honest officer.
Vauxhall apologist.

Its a small world - the Alistair he mentions has just bought a switch off me for the Xantia off ebay. He also pointed out the H/C I was selling was a front one - still I got £41 for it, so Im happy.
