I always liked Visas and that's definately unusual. BX seats in the front? Perhap BX engine too?

Its probably the only diesel Visa cabriolet in existance! I wonder if ear plugs come as standard?

if it is a conversion someone did a good job; my recollection is that petrol Visas had three bolt wheels and only diesels had four - maybe the GTi was also 4 bolt?

I used to wonder why I was passed on the motorway by Visas, then I got a 4 speed Visa diesel and found out how nippy they are - and not too noisy

It will be interesting to see what this and the project GTi fetch

Its OK, i sorta guessed you did.

Yes diesels and Gti's were 4 bolt hubs all others 3 bolt.

TBH you just get yourself a 205 1.6gti or diesel subframe and swap it in complete.

i remember having a fully dismantled motorbike in bits in the back of my Visa 17D and still being able to do 90mph down the motorway home.
A car i really really really regret selling (in fact i regret selling all my visa's, very very good cars)

this one is 3 bolt hubs, so the one in this thread shows that Citroen possibly did a range of convertibles

and the price! don't think it will be going in my garage

As an aside.............

200 visa decaps (as they were called) came to the UK

they were all the 1100 engine.

This is one of those thats been Diesel converted it seems.

thay also rusted FAST. (faster than the standard saloons) as they had some nasty rust traps due to the extra strengthening bits.

I've got a Visa Decap - it's a right hoot to drive, you just can't help but smile. Yes, the styling's a little, er, odd, but it grows on you - honest! It's a long way off being road worthy though....

Oh, yes....that'll be why it's not on the road then! It's teeting on the edge of getting offered up for someone else to fix it up. Last on the road in 2001, and not likely to get back on at the current rate before 2020....
