I had a nice holiday in Malta back in 1991.

I was amazed at the age of the cars then.

Your BX has done well to remain red in that hot sunshine, mine goes pink in England's miserable summer.

Perhaps yours has lacquer on the paint, that helps it stay red.

Looks a very smart car, with some good editions.

Where's your front splitter?

Nice car. Have you thought about yellow foglights?

Lovely car, I would get the surrounds of the morettes body coloured, as for a spiltter they werent fitted until about 1990 and as thats a prefaclift car it wouldnt have one.

Since my GTI is a 1989 model it was not fitted with a front splitter. I would love to fit one but they seem very difficult to find!

As 'Blink' has not posted since last August (2009) he may not 'Look-in' on the Forum that frequently, but as I posted some BX parts to him in Malta I can confirm that the area/address is 'Zurrieq' which is at the opposite end of the island to Mellieha, if that's of any help to you ?

Thanks. Good to be here. I'll be collecting my first BX (a 1987 1.9 TRS Auto) when I get bak to England in about 3 weeks. It'll be joining my XM (which got me from Hull to Malta with not even a hiccup) and my 1979 CX Prestige (which will soon start restoration).

Thanks. I know roughly where that is - Malta is small enough that you can drive round until you find where you're looking for :)
