Looks like the red estate and the grey meteor are in the same yard as they are parked one behind the other. :?
Both in Waterlooville.
The estate has the chin spoiler fitted same as I fitted to the Green Hornet.
Mat F you wanted one to fit to yours heres a rolling spares pack

Well spotted Phil, it is indeed at chez Chidlow, my old 19TRS auto (soon to be Ray Fenwicks) is in the background.

You're right! I know someone bought it off the guy I sold it to and was going to do it up. I sent him some pics too, which he's used. Cheeky though as those were taken when it had tax and ticket, in early 2007. The engine had a tendency to overheat then I remember.

yes they are being sold by the same seller as well as the 16v - he's having a bit of a BX clear out! Three for the price of one?

I didn't know you had an early 16v Phil - why did you shift it? If those pics are three years old it must have deteriorated somewhat since then - also looking at the state of his other 'projects' offered for sale.

It was cheap and a bit ropey and was sold to make way for the Phase 2 I bought. It overheated and misfired quite regularly, but when it did go it was super fast - quicker than the one I replace it with.

It needed quite a bit of work: rust in the sill seams and crusty rear boot floor I seem to remember.

I'm quite tempted by the white 16v... I could run them both on the same reg. plate...

Can you remember what the mileage was when you had it Phil? I can't imagine it has gone up at all... Overheating? Head gasket or maybe it just needs a new thermostat and coolant, along with a lower cut in temp switch for the fan?

Either way, far to rare and potentially fun to scrap.

Mileage I seem to remember was 122k. I think the HG was on its way out. I left it idling for a while and it got really hot, so the fans weren't cutting in early enough if I remember correctly. Drove really well though.
