Hi Tim
I have to agree it looks mint and no obvious rust that i could see.
I wonder what he has the reserve set at.

Regards Kermit.

£995 already... with 8 days to go.

I'm impressed, but not surprised. It's been a while since a nice P2 valver has been on the bay. I know that if it wasn't silver or 'catted' it'd be my ebay ID up there :)

As Mike says, it is cat'd and metal bonneted - it's my old car that I sold in 2005 to Barry who was reg'd on here, from whom the current seller bought it. Mileage looks correct - I sold it with about 85k on the clock and Barry didn't use it much before it was laid up for 1 reason or another.

Shame it still hasn't had any of the paint issues resolved (it needed the roof, rear bumper and rear spoiler respraying to make it mint when I BOUGHT it in 2000 at the height of the fuel protests!) plus appears to have picked up some damage along the way, especially the front bumper and the missing towing eye cover. Only rust it had when I sold it was the seam inside the front passenger door, but that never got bad.

It's a straight car and I spent an absolute fortune on it - I never found it seriously lacking in performance against non-cat cars - just a bit flatter compared to a non-cat. It had new legs, spheres, coolant hoses, rad(s), OE dizzy cap and rotor etc etc

If it sells it's already over what I got for the car by some margin

I gather the boot floor has taken some punishment from a rotten exhaust (not clear what or how bad) and the replacement pea-shooter needs replacing with something more appropriate!

I thought the car had been scrapped after it last sold, as the old plate never showed up on the DVLA system - but it's been on the private plate shown.

Interesting and useful information, Adrian - especially for a potential buyer.

I notice tonight that the big bid has been removed or withdrawn. It did seem to shoot up very suddenly.
