Seems like there are quite a few 4WDs in switzerland. Have seen a couple before. And some of them are quite cheap. Btw, that crazy pimped BX I posted a while ago is also listed again. He added a couple of new photos, I added them to the other thread.

That 4x4 break looks quite tidy...tempting enough for me to Google 'Swiss exchange rate' at least! £290, hmmm, shame about the steering wheel.

I would if I was over there - you don't have any spare storage do you Carl?

Well it probably is quite tidy - for a 4WD... I see it also has a sunroof and electrical mirror, no air con though. I wouldn't get it for myself, no space! And I already have one BX that awaits some love and care.

You'd actually consider picking it up? Not even sure about what you'd have to do to be able to transfer it...

I was only tongue in cheek about storage - but I like the idea of flying out to somewhere with a few basic tools, and driving back in an unknown car. Or getting a lift down with a mate and driving back together.

Whether I still would like the idea if the unknown car broken down in the middle of nowhere with a ferry to catch is another matter...

One day, when I am allowed another car (and can afford it), I'll do it!
