I've been wondering if they're coloured with paint, or if the ally itself is tinted?

16v alloy's came in 2 different colours, standard silver & this type, they look like original citroen colours to me.

I think i must have as alloy is always one colour (silver) & there's no such thing as a tint version, they would have to be either painted or chromed etc....

Anodising could possibly be described as tinting the aluminium - although strictly speaking it is only the surface oxide layer that is tinted in coloured anodising. Which has nothing to do with BX wheels.
