It's got air con too (although in fairness it probably won't be working). And one of those cubby hole covers in the boot. Nice car.

Not being a complete expert on the model range..... what are the key features on the TZS. Obviously Air Con has been mentioned, can I ask Phillip why the Air Con probably wouldn't work?

I am quite keen on this little baby so any help would be gratefully appreciated.

I don't mean to say it definitely won't work... but it's an old (albeit very good) system... R12 refrigerant originally (which you can't use now) it might've had regasses of RS24 in the past which will have not lasted too long between changes but at least will not have hurt seals (as I understand) too much either. Unfortunately a couple of years ago there was a significant price increase in RS24 - I don't even know if it's still available - which might have discouraged regular regassing/use of the system. andlack of use will not do a system any favours. I don't know what the current situation is regarding R12 replacements - maybe there's a successor to RS24, so maybe someone far more knowledgeable than me about the matter could expand?

However, it may have been converted to run on R134a, in which case it may have been kept running OK and may just need a regass. OR maybe the advertiser is missing a trick (and because of the cold weather) and the air con works perfectly!?? :D

Either way, it's tempting to think about getting the air con working again; it is possible after all.

A footnote; even though air con is a boon, a combination of that, with a 16 carburetor fed engine joined to a power-sapping autobox, and it will definitely be a leisurely drive

And pretty thirsty ?
My Mother is in need of an auto but she treats cars like her vacuum,(Bump, crash,Oops) and the comment "well there called bumpers?" springs to mind.

Got them in my 16TRS, love um too, LOVELY mileage, ok it wont do 50mpg, but should manage 35/40 on a run and 30 around town I expect IF the carb is set up right.

If I hadnt collected the GTi auto yesterday I would be having a bid as that looks a nice example, the aircon wont work

No way, Tim you can expect 30 around town, if my experience of 16 auto ownership is anything to go by. Expect 31-36 on a run and 20-24 urban. But even so, a potentially very good BX ownership experience there.

I love those wheel covers. Think they make the BX look like a very french Citroen indeed.
