Citroen Heaven in Stroud

Post by messerschmitt owner »

This morning's spots - all within 100 yards at the bottom of Old Neighbourhood/Hyde Hill Stroud included

one tidy-looking ZX heading up the Neighbourhood
A tidy blue BX estate BXE 22 at the junction
A white BX estate in the industrial estate and
the usual CX saloon at the bottom of Hyde Hill
plus, of course, my white XM.

Not bad for 100 yards and perhaps twenty vehicles.
Citroen XM 2.1TD SX hatchback
Citroen XM 2.1TD VSX estate
Smart Roadster
Fiat Punto Cabriolet
Messerschmitt Kr200
Bond minicar mk C
Fiat 126 Bis
BX-less at the moment!

BXE 22

It was the reggie! But I must have got a digit wrong - as it doesn't show up on a dvla vehicle enquiry.

Olympic blue too - a nice colour!

That blue estate sounds like a friend's BX. IIRC his reg is BJE, not BXE. And the CX sounds like my old 22 TRS Croisette:

that the one?

BJE -that's the one!

The CX s always parked at the bottom of Hyde Hill - has shared its spot with a BX and a 2cv at times. It is often used though as the suspension always seems to be up on it. silver E plate IIRC.

google maps shows the BX and CX together at the bottom of the hill

The CX is used regularly by another Citroen person, it looks a little rough but its solid. The red 2CV (with green bootlid) is his as well.

The grey BX is a GTi that does/did belong to the man with the blue estate.

I often see a black E-reg BX parked up just off London Rd, past Thompson First too.

I don't think I've come across that one yet, but I'll keep my eye out now.

I did see a white 19 RD hatch travelling down the dual carriageway away from Cole Av/Bristol Rd traffic lights on Thursday evening. Reg number was an easy one to remember: F370 SBX.

If you see a Xantia, white GS Estate or a red 16v parked at the Cross Keys in Hardwicke - thats me!

well I'm in a white or green xm - depending on the day!

The maroon hatch is pretty much always parked just off the road next to one of the blocks of houses there
