Camshaft good for TD owners?

Post by Philip Chidlow »

I hear the n/a diesel camshaft is a good modification for the Turbo diesel BX... Am I right?

The problem with this is that it doesn't seem to have the slot in the end to fit the pulley that drives the pump. Sure, it will fit all those models but the BX one is unique. I can't see the advantages of fitting just the cam to a turbo, surely it must be the whole head?

/\ why the whole head Todd?
The advantage of the NA cam is that it's rather peakier hence giving much better off boost performance over the rather ghey turbo cam, that works fine when the turbo's blowing, but is fairly inefficient when it's not!
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...
