I've got a mate who lives in a 'static' on a farm out Hereford way and it's very comfortable in its 70s way but come winter it gets really parky and he heads off to India for the sake of his 'joints', that's knee joints etc. of course.

Rather you than me Mat in that tent, did you all sit around in Speedos and cowboy boots just to make sure the hyperthermia got a really good hold?!

Like the new avatar, how did you persuade Gerlinde (sp?) to pose for you?

I find it helps when camping in such conditions to have a good beer jacket, at least that's my excuse! Last year it was held in some woodland, and I unfortunately spent about an hour looking for my tent.

The toilets weren't much good either- the water in them froze, but that didn't stop them being used. It was only when the contents were piling higher than the rim that people found 'alternative' toilets. Nice.

In the name of 'art' of course! It wasn't too hard - like a lot of women who've just had a baby she's quite proud of her current 'Holz vor der Hütte'n' ( wood before the hut).
She's not so sure about the 'honour' of being depicted amongst rusty exhaust pipes etc!

Apart from the 'mild' weather, Mat that camping outing sounds like a right class act!
