Very minor damage but cat c write off .Needs vic check and a few other bits doing.Tow bar.
L reg though and looks pretty good .

Nice one. This seems far to good to ignore for someone fairly near to it, with the right skills.

Can't quite make out what's going on with the n/s rear door quarter light though ?

What are you thinking, possibly photo's #1 & #2 look like the glass is missing ?
But photo #6 it's definitely all there !

Or is it something else

Maybe just a trick of the light? Actually I think it's tinted dark? Anyway. It looks a nice BX. Someone going for it?

I'm sorry, I've got my black cap on again but, surely the insurance company would not write a car off unless it had sustained damage which would cost more to repair than the book value of the car? I would want to confirm that there is no chassis damage where the tow-bar is connected. Looking at the tow-bar it does appear to be slightly skewed towards the right (o/s).

Don't worry, I'm not looking to buy another at the moment in case anyone suspects my motives

Other than that, the car looks very desirable indeed.

I had a Golf category C written off when a guy went in to the back of me. The tow bar took it all, nothing on the chassis, no crease to the boot floor etc. Not saying there isn't damage, just that they could well write it off under those circumstances, as I'm sure that in their eyes the '96 Golf was worth more than a BX.

Looks good, but listing the cambelt having been done at 90000 when it's done getting on for 150000 as a good point?

I'm with scarecrow on this ; unfortunately I think it has already reached its value at £123.00, IMHO it isn't worth much more as a Cat C write off without the VIC check and needing at a very minimum a new cambelt, clutch , rear spheres & heater repair. To be worth much more he needs to get the VIC done to prove it will pass one.
