I didn't fancy spears on my 19RD estate, what with them taking up space inside and then always getting tangled up in the seatbelt as you try & throw them out of the window. So instead I just went for good old traditional wheel blades instead. That way I can concentrate on safe driving as I carve up the opposition. I also have more room inside for plunder/booty.

it's an anogram
IIRC was it linked to gardening TOOL'S (eleventh post of the thread, Ken's) !
Personally I'd choose this pair of SPEAR'S for my BX, they'd take up less room !sdelasal wrote:I didn't fancy spears on my 19RD estate, what with them taking up space inside and then always getting tangled up in the seatbelt as you try & throw them out of the window. ...........

Neither of those words needs an apostrophe... <edit> ...in that context... <edit>

...unless referring specifically to Britney's er, equipment, in which case Spears' would have been correct. (Note apostrophe follows the s, not precedes it.)
This is because it's preferred format of the Saxon genitive Spears's, which looks plain ugly, and to my eyes is no more correct than Spearses.
