Can you post some of that sunshine over here and some fuel.
I too remember when fuel was 79p a litre but that is a fair way in the past.
With the recent rises in fuel duty 0.76p but it went up 1p
And the increase in Vat Diesel where i am is now around £1.33p
Bearing in mind the tax percentege we pay the fuel cost itself is small.
And on the point of Hydrogen fuel cells i think they are the future but where does all the water that is produced go.
I remember from my day's at college that in the process of burning Dyno Juice (nice one Dolly wobbler)an internal combustion engine running at it's most efficient produces roughly a gallon of water for every gallon of fuel in the form of water vapour/steam plus CO2 and some other compounds of nitrogen.
So the ideal power source would be a Hydrogen fuel cell powering a steam generator followed by the drive turbine then condense the steam and split it into hydrogen to power the fuel cell.
