:D Well i finally dropped the ph1 16v off at dave ashworth's in blackpool for a few jobs to be done plus the mot. One i was dreading was the exhaust manifold change anyway he rang me this afternoon to say he can weld it up in situ so no need to change it over for the spare one i had phew relief at saving a few £'s so hopefully my run of luck will continue when the man from the ministry gets to work. Keeping everything crossed. 8)

hope they didnt MIG weld if its cast iron unless they used dedicated wire, otherwise it wont last long,

i used to work on a SAAB 9000 for that omeone had welded the manifol in several place's with a mig,

every run on weld had cracked along side them,

i took the manifold to a classic car restorer i know who ground all the mig weld's out and re/welded it all corectly, this stoped it cracking
