Alloys on eBay

Post by Philip Chidlow »

These Speedlines would fit the BX as I think they would be 4 x 108 (Ford fitment).

Got a red 16v/GTi?... These'd look pretty good I think

probably not; bolt/stud spacing - 4x108 - is just the start of what you need to consider; offset and centre bore are as important and easily overlooked until you find the wheels won't fit the arches or create vibration and worse

I use www.alloyguide.com to make sure anything I'm considering for my BMW (sorry!) is ok - subject to increased width not causing problems

the advertised wheels have too big an offset and a different centre bore. The centre bore can be dealt with by hubcentric rings and a small difference in offset by spacers and longer bolts - if the difference is the right way

I used BX speedlines on my ZX and they are now on a family 306 - so the ZX details should be ok for the BX

I can't actually see any mention of offset on the listing, am I missing something??

I like the wheels, but not for the BX. Would look good on a nicely modded AX or Saxo ect.

missing offset

my assumption; if they fit the Ka the Ford to ZX comparison says the offset is wrong for a BX

Oh, I see. Fiesta wheels fit the BX apparently though!

try before you buy. the Ford offset is a lot more and the centre bore is smaller; the fit may just be the 4 x 108 pcd. Anyone tried Ford wheels?

I thought I'd add to that with more information:

The BX uses wheels with the following spec:

PCD 4 x 108
15-22 ET
65mm Centre bore
• 1992 Citroen BX TZD Turbo Hurricane
• 2006 Xsara Picasso 1.6 16v
