The description says:

A Van in good condition for sale. 1.9 diesel, driven only 476 000 km, and more coming all the time. MOT without remarks for third time in a row. Smoke value 0,63 ppm. Girts done, and spoiler re-installed thereafter. Boxes rust protected. New windshield, distribution end completely renewed. Twin-coloured: black/silver. Special, e.g. four-lights, Recaro seat upholstered like the original. At rear DS spheres; at front, long CX spheres. Wood kit inside. New headlight units. 2 x wheels (though the summer ones are quite worn, but on aluminium rims). Price 1000 eur. With regular headlights 850; with GTI spheres 800. The only fault: the electric front side windows are not working. Apparently a broken cord. Window lifters etc. included. Remote controlled central locking, towbar.

Sounds pretty tempting, and I've actually spotted the car on a few occasions, and it really looks great. The only problem is that I already have the 3 I/we need (2 diesels for daily use, 1 petrol van in case either of the diesels is at the docks)..

What's going on with the drivers seat? Looks like an old BMW E30 3 series seat to me with extendable base but retrimmed in BX fabric!!

Not quite so keen on the mileage & the price, i thought they were cheap over in finland?

I don't think the price is too bad: even though you can get a petrol van with slight rust problems for free, this one is a diesel, and from what I've heard, quite free of rust. And part of the price goes for the special headlights & driver's seat, aluminium wheel rims etc.

I've usually bought my Vans at 350 000 - 400 000 km and driven them up to 700 000 - 900 000, so in that respect the mileage doesn't sound too bad, provided the car is decently kept.

Got a conditional(*) parking permit for yet another Van from the Wife - I'll go check the car out next week.

(*) If the car moves in, not a single beer for me (even at sauna) for a year. Everything seems to have its price, but I think this might well be worth it..

Snow until May?! Blimey. It's just starting to melt here and beer's one of the things that keeps one (in) sane through the winter!

You could use your new van as a secret bar. Put a little gas heater in there and sneak out for a beer or two. The wife's never going to know!

Is beer is expensive in Finland then?
