oh not fair! Hmmm four of them?
And there not barbed so they dont like push in and hold little flaps (like the wheel arch shrouds), but there too long to do that. There what about 2" long?
I'd guess there something to do with the interior of the car being plastic, and i guess something people dont usually see, perhaps behind the dash?
Ho hum, i dont know!
(well i've got a good idea, but i thought i'd get you all started!)

I`d go along with that. I think they hold the clocks into the dashboard.Vanny wrote:oh not fair! Hmmm four of them?

HA HA HA
The clocks arent held into the dash board by anything more than friction! They slot into a recess in the back off that tray bit!
no, i think they arent barbed because they are meant to move around a little without causing damage!
Can they be screwed into Mr B?

I wondered who`d be the first to spot that. Well done Vanny, shows your paying attention.Vanny wrote:cavmad wrote:

As I have had the clocks out more than once you`d think I`d know that wouldn`t you?
I`m hanging my head in shame now fellow BXers. I`m doing 100 lines: `I must stop daydreaming of Cavalier GSi`s with redtop 16V engines and Samantha Mumba cleaning them wearing just a flimsy bikini`.

Laugh no more people! I have the answer!
They are part of the back of the front seats and appear to hold the plastic panel and pockets onto the back of the seats.
Just been to hoover my car out pre holiday and noticed said plastic panel was hanging off behind the driver`s seat. Pulled it back slightly to find out how it went back in and presto hey! I found them.
Rushed up stairs to tell `er indoors who gave me a blank expression and appears to think I`m mad!
I`m now going to carry on cleaning my car and bask in my reflected glory of being `Anorak of the week` in my newly polished paintwork.
