Off the top of my head the failure sheet was, rust in rear of both sills, bulk hear, boot floor and inner rear wings. exhaust leaking, headlamps not working (glass fell out of one in the mot test station), and a few small things like a bulb out. Not included in the mot fail but done for recommisioning was all the petrol pipes, most of the return hoses (all the ones not already been changed) and there high pressure ones were done soon after chris got the car. The mark one estate all ok, might put it on the road this year, not yet decided.

Great to see another 14 on the road - particularly a mk 1! The combination of the MK1 with the small engine is probably my favorite BX at the moment.

I can't decide whether the car would look better with black painted sills, or if it would look a bit blue if you matched the body paint. Either way i bet your dead chuffed to have made the effort.

Mk1's are so bloomin rare, surely the price/value of yours should be decent, you'll have to get it valued by the CCC for insurance purposes, you never know it might be worth more than you think
