Heresy!

But true enough - vive la revolution!

I'd guess that everyone on here would prefer a 'proper' Citroen like a DS or maybe some oxidized panache in the CX, but I'd also guess most of us prefer the practicalities of driving a car that is cheap enough to run, and yet a darned sight better than more expensive modern models constructed from wonton wrappers and powered by the souls of dead dogs.

I've never been a fan of the 2CV - but I did love my Dyane, most of the time.

BXs will be retro one day, just not right now, wont be long though I think. The problem is they are very modern to drive. I found that after getting out of a 40 year old Beetle into a lovely wafty 19 Auto!

That's certainly true Tim. But I wonder whether the BX really is interesting enough to garner a wider following. It's sibling the Pug 405 is a really good car but even that is still languishing firmly in banger class and when you think about it, even the GS is still to find a real classic following. Good news if you want to buy one without breaking the bank, but bad news because few people are willing to spend big money on them.

One day the ZX will be a classic. Maybe not...

But it doesn't make it a bad car. Not every good car can become a classic, in the accepted sense.

XM's look fabulous in white. It really shows off the lines - especially the "band of light" glass.

The BX is staying - thanks to Liz's commitment to it. I feel happy it's staying. Just have to get the work done.

The GS should be in the hands of Mr. Kermit and I in a couple of weeks. Then a bit of an 'assessment' takes place...

Watch this space.

In the meantime I am getting on with the Synergie. Damn, for the money, these simple vans aren't half bad. And try finding something else so big and versatile for BX money. Apart form a BX estate lol.

By the way, I put the ELATION badges on - to cover up a nasty bit of paint damage on the boot! OK I've never seen a Synergie Elation either!
