It looks as though there are three numbers right across the BX range, all interchangeable, just different makers.

1109.N3 for Purflux filter
1109.J9 for Mann filter
E149 003 not specified.

Same filter as on all other "XU" engined BX's Im told Mark.

Quite a few on ebay too.

You have to understand Citroen's part number conventions, it's the suffix that makes the difference, 1109 is the prefix for all oil filters on all Citroens.
For example 1109.N3 is a Purflux spin-on filter for BX 1109.X4 is a paper cartridge oil filter for a C6.

All TU and XU filters are the same anyway. Only the HDI's were different as the pressure relief was set differently, although lots companies now use this filter on the older XU engines. Mine's got one on I think.

It's the same spin on oil filter for CX's aswell!

it seems to me by a quick look at service citroen that through the hole range from BX's up to most XANT's, and everything in between,

and no matter what the OE part No. is they relate back to a purflux No. of LS867B,

with the exception of the suite case engine,
