Lovely low mileage, but then read what needs doing to it, i think you'll either have to have a large budget or be able to do this work yourself to get it back on the road. Shame, but these are a lot more of a pig to work on than any other bx, hope it does get saved all the same.

Actually, I can guarantee you this is a genuinely decent motor.

It used to belong to "Simran" on the 16v forum and was VERY well looked after. He only parted with it partly to fund his throttle-bodied 16v!

Yes it needs a bit of fettling, but nothing the regular enthusiasts can't manage.

A weeks work with 90% of the parts supplied. Well worth a look at the right price.
I have zero patience for your tedium.

It'll probably go out of my budget anyway... :(

Still, it's better that I concentrate on the BX I've got than worry about another (so I keep telling myself!)

According to the bill of sale pictured it was 725.89 extra sheets for A/C !

Looks like a great car for the committed enthusiast and if you're not committed you will be by the time you're finished changing that clutch!

Sure thing! Committed to a mental institution, or having a serious brain injury, or a mathematician...
I'd love to have this one, and I am a mathematician :D

I enquired about this one when Chris advertised it on here a year or two back, and am tempted this time around too. Taking the engine out isn’t much different from removing the engine on a standard BX, but it makes taking the head off easier. And it should be less work to fix the A/C then it would to retrofit a system…

I'm glad it's getting some interest :D

It's got to go I'm afraid, flatmate moved out and my commuter transport, (kawasaki Ninja ZX9r) has blown the head gasket for the second time (probably the way I ride it - or it's a common fault with it being a bored out 750 motor and revving to the same 12,500rpm, I'll go with that) and it's time it went to the big breakers yard of ebay.
I've decided to free up some cash to buy another bike so it's good bye to the BX.

I'll even throw in my poster "why is this car replacing the bmw 320i?" that should seal the deal. :D

It's definitely interesting Chris - the only question is will it go out of my price range? I've a feeling it will... :S

I can't knock you for that, Chris. :) I hope it sells well for you, really. One day a 4x4 will come by at the right time and price - hopefully things will improve for me soon.
