Just a few pics of the day out in Aylesham, Norfolk picking up a 16TGS Auto.It had been stood 12 months under a tree hence all the green stuff all over it but with a booster pack it started straight up and drove onto the trailer.Old fella had had it from new with 46000m and full service history.

Good one Richard, is that Bernard Mathews stately home? it lookd similar to the one that used to be in the TV commercials.

no Defender that is Blickling Hall many moons ago my grandparents were guides there,also just around the corner is a very nice pub which used to serve very good food and a decent pint!

No thanks, I bought a set from Peter Dykes at Wetherby last year, just used them for the first time this week

Took them straight off again afterwards.

Pictures taken this afternoon after washing it 3 times. Still full of bits of tree and god knows what else but gave the door openings a wipe down and A/B/C pillars and inner wings are spotless. Exhaust rear hanger looks to have fallen off but its got a full set of new spheres and full main dealer service history. It even had a genuine "Citroen" battery!
Next step is to get it home and in the garage for a good look underneath etc and see what needs doing for the MOT.

Well done Richard another one saved. I do like those wheeltrims on the Italian break. How did the gti cope pulling the tgs, lowish mpg i would guess. Regards Mark.

Roughly 400 miles on £120 unleaded.Dont know what it is per gallon but im sure someone can work it out?

Rough guess, thats 20-25mpg which must have been painful, hope the car was free?

That's still 16 mpg better than my Scania when pulling a load.

A quick guess would be, new rear discs and pads, seems they always do
