Agreed. A bit more effort on the cleaning and photography - and some acknowledgement that there might be rust underneath: there certainly will be in the n/s rear arch (the arch exterior is rusted). I wonder what the condition of the inner wings is and the usual estate favourite, the rear arches?

In all honesty, the guy seems fair, but really if you want to sell at that price or more, it needs to look cared for. Which - unfairly or not - this doesn't. No appreciable service history either. Personally I'd take issue with paying for an MOT in advance too.

But credit to the guy, he bothered describing it better than some!

I know the seller of that car!

The car itself will be OK! And he's a top bloke.

I have his number if any of you want to call him.

The MOT on sale sounds fair enough to me - on a vehicle that may not sell (at that price), or on something that might be on sale for a while. That way the buyer can have a fresh MOT (assuming he keeps his word even if it requires lots of work) and the seller doesn't have to pay for an MOT that might be a waste if the car isn't wanted. I reckon with a low starting price he'd generate enough interest to bid up to this sort of money, but will be lucky to get many bids starting this high.

I'd be wary of veg oil on a Lucas pump though, and avoid the car if already run in this way!

A keen BX'er, wonder what low mileage one hes bought? You dont get much for 500 notes these days, a bit of tidying and some better trims wouldnt go a miss, as would a rear wiper. Low miles for a TD estate though!

Worth the money imho if its good mechanically.
Lots of Motors, mostly semi broken....

Too much work needed for that kind of money. It will fail the mot if the height corrector is making the back end too high. Rust coming. Generally tatty...
