To follow on from the genuine discs, here are a set of genuine pads. Over the last 100k miles I've got between 7-10k from various pattern makes, but for the last 2 changes I've gone for genuine and got around 20k miles from them, as well as noticeably less fade. (In fact no fade at all, even descending the Alps at speed!)
I've ordered a set of these, but was puzzled by the apparent non compatibility with the 16v. Obviously the physical size is the same, but I wonder whether the genuine parts have a different compound specifically for the 16v? Or whether the difference is in the length of wire (wider caliper jaw) for the pad wear indicators?
Genuine pads!

There's been someone selling Bendix pads for the BX on German Ebay. They seem to have an unlimited supply but they post them one set at a time. The first few sets went for between €12 and €15 but gradually the price has got lower and lower as the market's become saturated I suppose.
I bought mine for €5 but the last set that sold achieved €2 and there's still more coming! It's a Bendix brake mountain..

Me too - rude not to, as I've got some genuine discs on the shelf, and a set of new old stock Bendix calipers. Who knows, might get round to fitting them one day!maxgreenwood wrote:excellent i need some, just bought a set.

I am of the same mind, especially now i have flirted with Citroen's big brother offerings on the dark side and returned a wiser and more appreciative BX fan.
Too many plus points. I defy anyone to come up with a good reason not to have one. Apart from their age and associated problems. Cabin noise? get a life and stop trying to shut yourself off from reality!
btw pics of the 16TZS now up in the gallery
