Wanted: FDV + O/S Headlamp/Lamp Glass

Hi All,

I am looking for a Non Leaking Fluid Diverter Valve (FDV) as mine is leaking and I can't find the overhaul kit anywhere

Possibly a long shot, but can't hurt!

Also If anyone has a Drivers Side healamp, or headlamp glass, I need to replace the one i smashed pulling the front of the car off to get to the FDV

headlamps are normally not that expensive NEW from ebay, I know Ive paid about £20 delivered before now.

I'm looking for a FDV valve too that doesn't leak!

Pleiades sell reconditioned ones at around £120... only real option, I think, unless you want to look for correct sized seals and DIY.
Could always be lucky with a s/h one but it's really common that they leak and getting them on and off looks like a pain unless you remove the rad... When mine gets really bad I think I'm going to get a reconditioned one and do the job once..

Martin at Pleiades did also say that it's important to have the PAS steering pressure checked on this valve.. If you don't have a pressure test rig this isn't possible. I don't know how likely a s/h FDV is to be calibrated wrong or if it's just scare mongering but it's good to be informed!

is it actualy the FDV leaking or is it just the pipe joints,

i do have head lamps and FDV's but dont know the condition of the FDV's as they have been laying around for some time now,

Just bagged one brand new for 18 quid, thanks for the heads up !

As for the FDV, Can only hope I suppose - I will start looking around for what seals and rings I need,

Hi Malcom,

I have sorted a headlamp now, I have pulled my FDV off and its leaking from around the pistons/sliders on the side. I would be happy to take a gamble on an FDV for the right price, just so i have a spare if anything, if you could PM me some figures.

I just sealed my FDV valve externally with polyeurothane sealer adhesive on the piston caps after cleaning it with aerosol brake cleaner and it has been bone dry since, 5 minutes of a job.
