I used to do it on the rear wheels with 165 section tyres, not with 195s though. I simply used the supplied jack in the middle of the sill and could get both wheels off without any manual jacking - I thvught everybody did it this way?

Same here, i just jack her up like any normal car.

Works every time. No need to get complicated, after all, its just a wheel change.

I think Mat was on about doing it but using the hydraulics only rather than having to manually use the jack.

I do love the photography standards in that ad. Good grief.

That was the way to change a wheel on a DS as described in the owners handbook, but for the rear wheel you had to remove the outer wing which came off with the wheel brace on a 19mm bolt which held the rear wing in place.

As Way2go says, it wont work on the rear wheels in a BX. I've also tried it on a BX and I would not recommend it as the jack is not designed the same way as on the DS, which was much more sturdy and took account of the car leaning over as the wheels went down on the other side.

On the BX you keep the wheels in the high position all the time so it is not the same process and the standard jack is not designed to take it IMO.
