Heater Matrix blow out
Got in the BX this morning, and got wet feet. heater matrix had blown its top.
will have to get the carpets cleaned, horrible sticky antifreeze residue all over the place.
fitted new matrix in half hour back on the road tonight.

easy, my brother put the water back in as i tightened the last bolt on the matrix, then i fired it up to bleed it as i put the dash back togther. total job time not much longer than half hour.
my other brother was surprised to see me home in such fast time. he thought i would have the dash out.

Ironically after changing the TRS coolant for the first time in the 3 years of having it found a leak from the heater matrix today as well.
The big clue was the anti freeze over my left foot...
Now as for that claim of 30 minutes to get the dash out and the matrix replaced....TUI. You know what I am talking about being in aotearoa
