That second film in London with the BX vs. bike is a spotter's delight!!

Commer/dodge van!!! and the brilliant mix of 60s to 80s cars - amazing time for cars! To think that one car in a line of traffic was a new 1990 example followed by some 70s Cortina that was ONLY 15 years old!

Surprising number of 3 series BMWs in 1990
One of BMW's main advertising lines at the time was that you could buy a 3 series for less than a Ford Escort - of course on the Ford such equipment as a radio wasn't an optional extra!

I'm not sure which made me smile the most, the fact that the front bumper is dropping or Clarkson's hair

this is on car fires I love theses old top gears. So in deth infomation. And its kind of funny the problerms. They had with new cars back then. Which are old today.
I wonder if there are any brand new cars out there what are having problerms.

So that's why mk1 BX's are so rare

The Skoda Rapid I had years ago had a plate riveted to the bulkhead next to the main chassis plate listing the recall work that had been carried out - one for the brakes & 2 for the suspension from memory. I have an idea what the brakes one may be as when I owned it i did hear of owners discovering their cars had a 2 pot Estelle caliper on one side & a 4 pot Rapid caliper on the other!

It was interesting to see just how much the world has changed in a relatively short space of time. It's hard to imagine a programme that 'trainspotterish' getting much of an audience these days. Instead we have to tolerate three over paid lunkheads using luxury cars to aid and abet their laddish hijinx (for 'laddish hijinx read 'twattishness')

Yours sincerely

A. Trainspotter.

I believe they have a new series coming up, although I'll have to double check to be sure. Mind you, they seem to be getting more like Top Gear lately
