WHAT ARE THESE FROM ?

Post by tzd »

Hi everybody, I was shopping the other day and came across these mudflaps and couldn't resist buying them just for curiosity sake. I haven't a clue which model they are from. Do you know?

Kev

Judging by the size and shape alone i'd have to guess at 2CV or Dyane.

The wide metal bracket would suggest the bridge between the inner & outer arches of such.
I have zero patience for your tedium.

There was a set like that on German Ebay and they were listed for a 'Light 15?'

Earlier than that Kev, it's pre-DS. But looking at those I'd say 2cV, Dyane, Ami or GS. Although TBH I can't really tell 100%!

wont be dersh (2CV ) as they are riveted on along the wing edge,

i also think they look to modern for a light 15 (traction avant),

Well, you could always use them as supplementary sun visors.
The advantage the brackets would not rust in time   [/quote]

My money would be on GS, possibly Ami Break, possibly Acadiane?

If they're for a GS, would you consider selling them to me (maybe exchanging for something I might have?). Although I suspect that possibly these are for a break/estate.

i think the under body work on a saloon and estate is the same,

also the only reason i would say they arnt GS/A, is from memory they are the same sort of shape but have a cut out in one for the exhaust tail pipe,

Could be nice addition to our GS - but maybe not entirely in keeping with the Rally car look? :?

But then again...

Are you on glue..? :D
Surely nothing would be more in keeping with a classic rally look than some garish mudflaps...?
