Looks as though this place is worth a visit - if it's indeed open for Joe public or even exists still?
Interesting developments on the BX Break..

Great find Todd, when I wrote a potted history of Heuliez for the Citroenian magazine I could have done with that - although I have seen many of the Citroens shown. The BX MPV was apparently to be called the BX Monospace - a direct rival to the Espace.
The is some truly awful stuff (as well as some interesting, even charming concepts/prototypes), but for some reason the Renault Safrane estate and the XM limo seem to be particularly 'orrible.

Yes, it's an incredible place - just looks like a car park in a factory, well it is a factory I suppose.
I like the Heuliez car cover - wouldn't mind that for my bit of 80s H. Most of those amazing cars look as though they're being stored under painters plastic dust sheets though!
I know that Remy ( 1988BX19GTI) had a bit of dialogue with them and they gave him loads of BX publicity stuff including some great photos. Maybe he could speak to them and see if private viewings can be arranged?

i love the 2 door BX estate, i think the Monospace looks pretty cool as well, maybe looks a little top heavy, but so does the original Espace. ZX Cabriolet good too.

The picture is of some one grabbing their chest experiencing angina because he got too excited about a Black 4TC!
I'd love to build a replica 4TC, or even a BX sport. Being in Australia where we did not get either car, it is probably only something I can dream about.
Either way, they're still awesome!
Conservatoire Heuliez: Great find, Cheers

There's this 16v available in the north of Germany at the moment that would make a good basis for the 4TC replica, well it's the right colour! It's got a blown head gasket but it comes with another motor.
I suppose if you were to make a replica it would only be the body kit really - you wouldn't have to bother with the engine. I find it hard enough to just keep a standard BX in order. A 4TC body would require hours and hours of work and money. Probably cheaper to buy a proper one? Anyone got 15g's lying about?

I've already got a black ph2 16 Valve, but I think to do a 4TC right you'd need a series 1 car.
Ideally you'd put in an 8valve petrol turbo from a Xantia, or a t16 from a pug (not sure where you'd put the HP pump on the t16 though).
You would have the gearbox/transfer case/diffs/running gear out of a 4x4 and pray you don't keep breaking things.
You would also need to lengthen the front of the car to give the illusion that it's a North South facing engine like the original car which had a 505 turbo motor in it.
Then there would be the body kit: bumpers, skirts, wings, flares, etc..
Interior would just be that from a 19GT.
In all it's too hard, you'd ruin too many other nice cars in the process, and get your self seriously in debt only to end up with a car that probably has only half the performance/strength in the drive line as the original.
