spheres

Post by tzd »

Hi all, just to let you know I've just changed the spheres on the front of my TZD it was a piece of cake. The front it still grumbling a bit but i will put some fluid down the return pipes to help it out.
It isn't just a car it is a BX and it's my BX. Long live the BX.

Glad to hear it. I understand the accumulator sphere can be a bit tricky. The spheres on mine need swapping as its all a bit stiff at the moment. I was driving today and a car pulled up next to me and the driver shouts out 'ive got some spheres for that, dya want em?' So we pulled over and he was chatting about how much he loved the BX and lamented the passing of his a few years ago. Anyway he said he would ring me to arrange to pass them on. I was wondering is there a 'use by' on unused spheres, beyond which theyre not worth the effort? They must have been lying around for some time.

Whereabouts in Merseyside are you, ive not seen any other BXs in Wirral, or Liverpool for that matter!

cheers

I'm up in New Brighton, just off the front, if you look up the street where the sea side cafe is you will see my BX parked about 100 metres up that street most days.
I don't know if spheres have a use by date on them ? but I suppose they are like any other item in the world they will eventually degenerate.

Bizarrely, I was in Tesco car park a few weeks back and a bx gti in white pulled in near to me, he is from the birkenhead area.
