From the conversation Richard and I had 2 weeks ago when he collected my BX, I'd doubt it, but we haven't spoken since.

Hmm, I dont doubt it, we may be doing him a disservice, but to deliberatly jump the que when others are interested is not on. But then again this conversation has been presented before. I imagine all will be quiet from a certain someone?rayfenwick wrote:From the conversation Richard and I had 2 weeks ago when he collected my BX, I'd doubt it, but we haven't spoken since.

If I may just play devilsn advocate for a moment, whilst I appreciate that some folk get a bit pissed off when others (that may perhaps have some dispensible income) buy up the cheapies, do some work on them and then flog'em on for a profit-surely just the fact that they're being saved has to be a bonus here?RxBX wrote:Dollywobbler wrote:Nope. Add to that the time and effort of collection and the work to put them back on the road........
I see this argument in 2CV circles, moreso really as their values are seemingly quite ridiculous these days (hence I went to France to buy my Ami-import and registration couldn't have been easier) but surely the time and effort required to save and recomission a BX can't leave someone with an awful lot of profit?
Like I say, devils advocate..............

True
There is no harm in making a profit (its what I do day to day), but if a genuine enthusiast wants to buy a car but gets beaten too it buy someone else who hoovers up all the available ones because they are well a bit greedy its not fair to deprive them, for it then to reappear a few months later at a price they cant afford?
But as yet we dont know who owns this car, time will tell.
