Same sort of shape though!
Spotted when I was picking up a vintage lathe from someone just down the road from me. UK reg Scirocco GT2, J reg so one of the last Mk2 Sciroccos. Metallic mid blue, cloth interior, 180cc carb engine. Looks very tidy indeed but has been standing several years thanks to suspect head gasket. Clutch may also need attention.
Always liked these (used to have one in the family in the mid-eighties) and was seriously tempted with this one, but I have been informed by higher management that if I want to avoid being murdered with a rusty crowbar and dumped in the lake, I'd be better off fixing some of the vehicles we already have rather acquiring any extra ones.
The catch is it's in Normandy, but at some point I need to organise a trailer to bring my Land Rover over here from Dorset, so might be possible to take the Scirooco back on the UK Leg of the trip.
