The transpennine transplant.

Post by ken newbold »

This Saturday as you may be aware if you've been following other threads a certain transplant is taking place at Cavmads in Chester.

Namely, Sleepy's car is going to get a new (well nearly) engine. The object is to make our way there for about 9am and take the engine out of Cav's old estate and tranfer it into Sleepy's.

Anyone who fancies a crash course in engine changing will be made most welcome, just bring your own food, camera and gloves if you don't want to get your hands mucky, cos no matter how many of these I do, they all have one thing in common.

They're FILTHY
They think it's all over, it is now!

Yeah, I thought we'd better go for it and get it done before I have to to realise what my latest moments of insanity have got me into.

I have a jet wash thingy here if neccessary. Sleepy, I think this is the estate that has the interior parts you wanted so fill your boots whilst you`re here mate.
The car will be getting scrapped as soon as I`ve finished stripping it anyhow, though there`ll be quite a few bits to come off it first!

Not sure which car you meant Ken but estate rears (in fact all estate ones) are mint, TZD ones seem to be shagged all round

No prob`s mate, will pm or e-mail directions later. Can you e-mail me your postcode and/or starting address or town please?
I`m very easy to find road-wise (less than one mile from the M53) but will send precise directions.
I am due to be in work Sat am if anything come in but if I am in I shouldn`t be too late getting back home, hopefully around 11.30am latest.
Vanny, if you`re reading this is the 16V pushable as is? I just need to take it out of the garage for a few hours then push it back in again but don`t want to disturb anything you may be in the middle of.

Billy, what's the state of your 1.6 petrol now? Does it still exist and does it have a bonnet and bumpers? I'd be interested in them if they were nice and almost as minty as a triple XXX. Do the bumpers have the chrome insert trim?

Now to think of some mad scheme to get me up to Chester... (I can't make it this weekend for the transplant ceremonies unfortunately...)

Mark.
