I also wanted to check first (With Tim) to put the forum thread link's/history (For the benefit of potential purchasers on how it was saved from meeting its maker back in 2009), when I first SPOTTED this BX on the OLD CLASSIC CAR site !

Then a new thread was started by 'ren16tx' (Chris) which featured the first photo's of this BLACK BEAUTY, hopefully someone will show an early interest so to bring back to life again 8)

Also remember that this BX also made it to and completed the BXagon Challenge back in 2009 :-

Lovely views, & the cars are ok, not so sure about the dodgy looking geezers though
The above quote from THIS thread (For ref.), I wonder who will be the new owner of this Black Beauty ?

:D

Yes, this GT made it all the way round the BXagon - and don't forget it dealt happily with the Wrexham to Dover to Wrexham bit too. As well as the odd excursion to the Med. I have some pix somewhere...

I didn't realise it was a runner these days, so I suspect it will be well out of my price range. :(

Its a runner but needs MOT etc, its more important WHO it goes to than the price.

I've driven it briefly in France, and thought it went well. As far as I know it hasn't done much since so it would be more likely to be time expired bits needed for an MOT rather than mileage related.

And here's another photo - obviously one of the locals rather liked it...

I think it was that english couple who were admiring the BXs as we returned to the cars... Otherwise it might have had Je <3 GT lol!

Anyway, having followed the GT at one stage it certainly 'went' and upon inspection had little or no rusty bits on display. The engine was sweet too, and an earlier minor issue with running were solved when the oil filler cap was found to have been pushed in too far I believe :) Although short of blocking off oil breathing, I don't know what else it would have done.

I drove it during the BXagon too, and was impressed at how well it drove.

It's faster than it looks.

Quite agree, the 1.9 carb fed engines are very torquey and will accelerate in any gear at any revs!
