Red 1993 TXD Diesel Estate for sale (Full MOT £500)

Post by sdelasal »

I bought this car about a month ago and the plan was to replace my '89 RD with this higher spec model. So in the last month I have serviced the car and gone thru it cleaning it up and rust proofing it in the usual places as
it was to be my long term keeper. However, there has been a change in plans as I've just acquired a better spec'd bx, from Phil, and so I need to sell this one to make room. The car has 125K miles and an immense amount of history from when it was new up to about 2005 and then it goes quite. Cam belt was changed in 2008 at 108K.

The car is in very nice condition. Drives well. Bodywork is really clean- I've seen some real rot boxes recently. Engine starts well, revs clean. Clutch works well. Hydraulics go up & down. I have had the front suspension spheres and the accumulator spheres re-gassed. Oil & air/oil/fuel filters have been changed by me. LHM and engine coolant needs a change for preventative maintenance. It's fine though at the moment.

The bodywork does have a couple of scars. A couple of dents in the roof and a scratch on driver side rear door - but I have a replacement for that.

The car is now MOT'd and I'm asking £500.

The car is now MOT'd and I was first asking £450 but now I feel lucky and am going for 500. It's on a few freebie sites & ebay will be the judge of last resort. Sorry to mess about with edit on here...

That seems a very fair price Steve.

Judging by the way ebay is going these days Steve and that cars are fetching strong money I would give that whirl, or www.carandclassic.co.uk (which is free)

I think you will get what you want for it Steve, especially as it has 12 months MOT and low miles.
