Amazing to think how many obscure rarities find themselves just lobbed into the crusher. Or perhaps horrifying is a better word.

Speaking of rarities. I was chatting to JayW at Stratford and he mentioned a very late limited edition called the 'Typhoon'. Apparently it was very similar to a 'Hurricane' but with triton green colour coded speedlines (!?) and some kind of chrome embellishers instead of mudflaps - sounded very interesting and exotic to me. Has anyone ever seen one or better still got a picture of one? I've scoured the internet but no mention anywhere - perhaps he dreamt it? :D

He was deadly serious! Sounded nice to me  So the BX 'Tam o' Shanter' (tartan upholstery AND paint) and the BX 'Unicorn' (pearlescent white and a long wiggly horn instead of a radio aerial) - they didn't exist either? #-o

Could be a fun thread: 'What If' BX editions!

Can't be any more absurd than the Pug 806 Eden Park with blue check/cream leather and rugby-ball shaped headrests...

What about BX 'L'Afrique du Nord'... with sand yellow paint, tinted windows, air con, strengthened suspension (OK so far) and seating for nine (including two on the roof, -

How about the BX "taxi edition" in white, with no extras at all (except highly decorated dash figurines) de tuned diesel engine and delivered with 60k on the clock already and permenantly illuminated warning lamps. Oh and no 3rd or 4th gear so they go 1,2 - 5, or am I being cynical.

Oh yes. The BX 'Taxi'. That was the one with the 'faux' marble steering wheel cover and the 20 cheap air fresheners that leave you stinking of 'pine tingling freshness' for days afterwards?

Well, seeing as that much maligned subsection of contemporary society always seem to spark a lively debate whenever they get a mention
on here ( ), it seemed only fitting somehow. They've gone and vandalised my picture already though - the workshy b*****ds! ](*,)

Apologies to Phil for my rather shabby appropriation of 'The Red Baron'! :D
