Some Plonker with a 1.9D

Post by Tim Leech »

Advertised on ebay as breaking, 1.9D hatch with mot and tax, it needs discs and pads and a exhaust (new one wih car), and thinks he will get more in parts, he wants £200 for the engine and box or £250 for the car!

Ive tried to get him to list the car as one piece or send me pictures but he said he cant be bothered as its worth more in parts

Anyoen after a 1.9D hatch with T&T?

Im trying to get to see it but hes not helpful.

I\'m confused? He\'s not an enthusiast (as most of the British public aren\'t) and thinks it\'s worth more in spares (£200 for an n/a diesel lump is questionable but if that\'s what he thinks!)

Why is he a tosser? If I had an Audi A4 I\'d sell it in whichever way I\'d get most money, be it as a car or as lots of little boxes.

He\'s misguided slightly in his valuations I\'d say, but if you get precious over this sort of thing what sort of reputation is this forum going to get?

I agree, there's no law that says he has to treat this car with any respect. But normally I'd expect at least a wheel nut for my 99p!

Curious if he's not an enthusiast but has 'sold' two of em. Coincidence?

He is correct regarding the getting more for it as parts. I broke a 2001 TGD with 300k on the clock and netted over £800 for the parts, I'd bought it for £80 on Ebay for a couple of parts I needed at the time for my power steering.
