If you wanted a mechanically sorted MK2 early BX then this IS the one to buy!!!, ive been in regular contact with Tim about this car and seen the pictures this is a 19DTR Mk2, but an early one, I know of ONE other, but thats done 220,000 miles and is very tired.

Out of interest what price would it be if you wanted to avoid e-bay?

Tim asked my advice and I suggested a price of £1000, which is alot for 1.9D BUT the mileage condition and rarity all factor in that, you wont find a better one.

I had a long conversation with the owner just before we bought ours in May. He wasnt sure at the time whether to sell or not. As I recall i think it was the red one which was up for sale at the time.

Its white and in good nick so Id have certainly taken a look. Owner was mad keen on cits, and sounded the good sort.

It was the top of the range in the diesels before the arrival of the turbo diesels in 1988, most cars sold were fleet orientated so only the "R" spec.

I'm sure it's a good un and maybe worth £1000, but getting it will be another matter.

True Ken, if its advertised correctly with plenty of pics then maybe? these early Mk2 cars are now getting collectable.

I would suggest that perhaps the description could be a little more detailed, and parking it above a rainbow coloured puddle won't give much confidence about the hydraulic system! I think eBay's search engine will now pick up Citron when you type in Citroen, but it may be a good idea to correct the spelling too..

I still think it's a little high for the less desirable NA diesel, but we will see. I'm not trying to say that there's anything wrong with a non turbo, but for average condition cars the turbos seem to sell for roughly twice as much.

Bumpers need attention and need trim. Wheel trims missing (good ones seem rare). Good mileage and bodywork but apparently no history.

Id hope for pristine for £1100

Wheeltrims are easy to get, he chose to have the wheels like that, the bumpers need some paint I admit, as for no history I would class every MOT as otherwise!

Crap pics taken on a dark rainy day don't do the car any favours at all. There's no details at all in the description, and it would help if it were written in English too!
Sorry Tim, but if you want top money for stuff you have have to actively sell it. That listing is the equivalent of sticking a post-it note on the windscreen with 'For Sale' scribbled on it in crayon, then parking the car round the back of the house.
