Bit of PH coverage for the BX

Post by Kitch »

Always good to see when BXs get some press. Ok it\'s not a big mag or anything, but it\'s still Haymarket

I enjoyed reading about all those cars, you can see why the owners of each really like them, they seem to have that element called fun, which in a lot of modern stuff just isn't there. You're BX is looking good :D

Mulley: I agree (although I didn\'t want to say on PH that the Octavia just seemed god damn boring to me!) The MG ZS I know to be a cracking car to throw around, if a little rattly. The Alfa 145 also cool. I appreciated the Beetle RSi, but not for £18k!! It\'s just nice to get the BX out there, but what was even better were so many sentiments about the car on the follow-up thread. Not my particular car, just the model in general, which is great.

Mat: If the Monza\'s aren\'t your bag, what you need is a set of leathers mate!

That was a jokey reference to Kitch's seats - although the valver seats are a bit better at holding you in them round corners, I prefer the leather overall. (Which I bought from some dodgy bloke down South a few years ago  )

of the assembled bunch there, Kitch's car is still the one I'd like to drive the most. Infact Kitch's valver is one of the fastest I've driven ever.
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

Very nice... Good to see the BX getting a bit of respect. I'd probably have the ZS out of the rest. Came very close to buying one last year, but it was the cost of taxing the thing which finally swayed me. Interesting to see the Beetle RSi too. Very much a rival to the Clio V6, but nobody ever remembers that it even existed.

Doc: Always good to know! It\'s the quickest one I\'ve had, although the black one was close.

Matt: I did have a ZS. Good car, good value and immense grip/road holding. But the ride is unforgivable IMO. It\'s easy to make a stiff car go round corners, but try making one that corners AND rides properly. That\'s where the French seem to nail it.
